Shane recieved dialysis this morning in the Midland Regional hospital..Friday 17th Aug '12. 26 transplant athletes gathered at the Clarion Hotel, Dublin Airport this afternoon in advance of departing for The 7th European Transplant & Dialysis games which will be held in Zagreb, Croatia from the 18th - 25th August. 'The Games celebrate life through sport and promote organ donation for transplantation' The Irish Team which comprises 17 men and 9 women ranging from 18-74 includes kidney, liver and pancreas transplant recipients as well as people on dialysis. Athletes will compete in badminton, tennis, cycling, darts, golf, petanque, swimming table tennis, ten pin bowling, volleyball , mini marathon and track & field events. No Repro Fee.Pic: Angela Halpin
